Mint Bills & Money App Reviews

HORRIBLE!

This app doesnt even deserve 1 star!

Amazing

Just 1 word "Amazing" payment and reminder application. Almost all accounts, credit cards, loans or any bills accessible! From student loans to a gas bill. Truly amazing integration.

The Mint app used to be good

When I first got the app I thought it was awesome but lately they dont seem to pay the bill very timely for example I paid my dish bill last Friday the money was taken out of my account Saturday and today is Wednesday and My dish bill still hasnt been paid thats 5 days later. This app doesnt seem to be very convenient for me anymore I will just log into however I owe money and pay them online it will be way quicker and less hassle.

Doesnt work

Cant sign-in. Cant use it. Cant tell you more than that. What is clear is that its been like this for a week (possibly longer) and to leave the app like that in its current state that long is neglect.

Mint App

Was really good and reliable in the beginning but recently has been logging me out and then telling me my password is wrong, even when I changed it. Was good but now Im deleting this terrible app.

Used to be GREAT. Now broken.

This app was fantastic for about a year. Then something changed. Last week I started getting an "Unable to proccess payment (28)" code every time I attempted to pay a bill. I called customer support and was told that my case was going to need to be escalated. 48 hours later, I got a call back from customer service saying that my case was going to be escalted again. Fine. I then receieve an email from customer service stating that in order to fix my problem, they were going to "upgrade my account" in order to allow for larger payments. Folks, the bill I was trying to pay was around $150- Ive paid much larger bills before using this app without a problem. In order to process my "upgrade", they needed me to fill out an attached PDF page long form that asked for VERY sensitive information (last four digits of(SSC#, B-Day, etc). Further, I would need to attach photocopies of my ID, Bank statements, Utility Bill, and Credit card statements. I wish I were joking. I replied to that email with a less polite version of "pound sand", promptly deleted their now useless app, and popped on here to write this review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!

Crappy Software

Been using this app for umpteen years. Now, these geniuses decided to redo the UI. These geniuses couldnt leave a good thing alone. The UI is buggy, not intuitive and extremely difficult to navigate. It makes ZERO sense to take a great app and totally destroy it. Obviously, the geniuses behind this new interface have no idea what theyre doing.

Much easier than Allys app

I do love this app. My 1 BIG feature request is for it to hold the notifications and only show them every few hours. Its a constant annoyance getting a notification, addressing it, then closing the app and 1 minute later there is another notification. 10 minutes later, another. I love how well it works for me, but it is quite annoying.

Going Backwards

Ive used this app for years without any issues. Over the past month I havent been able to update my accounts. Im unable to add new accounts and link them to the biller as I had done in the past. Ive almost missed paying bills because the app no longer reminds me of them. Im now looking for another service to use.

Good monitor

Havent had any issues monitoring with it. Investments I have to continuously adjust, and some account just stop working often. Only reason for four stars

Tired of so called security

I use the online version now more than the app. Used to love the app when it was Check, but now the so called security features are annoying. I cant log in on my iPad anymore without going through additional security questions, and the only option that works is send confirmation code to my email. The other option takes me to a FAQ page. This is ridiculous.

Needs lots of improvement

Ive had this app for a long time now. It hasnt really changed. Still problems with accounts and errors always popping up. A good idea but kind of a headache. Is it worth the time? Only when its working properly. Otherwise no.

Good but not great

In update to my previous rating I am throughly disappointed in the service and support of this application. I have had a bank issue for quite some time and it has been almost two weeks without word on it. This app is to be used only if you are also checking up on your finances and bills manually as well since it will often have issues with most accounts. Glad I didnt take the plunge and get the pro version.

Mint ruined it

Was a fantastic app, but has gone downhill since mint bought it. Highly suggest Prizm instead-its as good as the app was before Mint bought it and ruined it.

Busy mom LOVES this App

As a military wife and mother of 5, the last thing I look forward to is grabbing my binder and calculator and hunting down my bill pen someone took from the "do not touch" notebook.. this app makes bill paying so convenient but also, if I dont have a chance to devote to bill time yet, I can open it and get an update or see if something needs attention by the alerts and notifications. I have used this app for several years with only one problem which was a creditor issue ..Customer service worked with me better than my bank of 18 yrs about the transaction hold I was stressing. LOVE IT!

Doesnt work

I have not been able to even use this app because it gives an error every time I try logging in.

Almost good enough

It works pretty good but the billing cycle isnt adjustable. Everyone is on different pay cycle and you should be able to adjust the urgency meter on bills due based on your choice of whats urgent. You should be able to set a custom alert on your choosing of when a bill is due for you. Also bills that arent due this month or on my pay cycle should not show urgent. Bills that arent due for a year should not be listed in bills due. Fix some of these issues and you will have a super fan. Also it doesnt allow for really tracking non regular items like magazine subscriptions and amazon prime.and tabs and license renewals and not having them piled into bills due.

WARNING: PLEASE READ

I had been using this app for about three months now. I finally decided to try the Express Pay feature to pay my cell phone bill. The service CLEARLY promises same day processing. Heres how that went down... Mint Bills offers an EXPRESS PAY service that clearly states SAME DAY processing. They charged my payment card instantly but when I checked my cell account 3 days later there was no payment applied. I waited 3 more days (the day before my cell account became past due) and still no credit. Thats a total of 6 days so far. I contacted Mint Bills customer service and the hard to understand agent (due to a language barrier) told me the payment was "sent to the wrong address". I was asked to give them 24 hours to fix the issue. I waited 3 more days and checked again. My cell payment became past due and still no credit. Just additional charges on my cell account now that the payment is late! It had been 9 days and still no credit to my cell account through this so called EXPRESS PAY. I contacted my card company and they opened a dispute. I get nervous when a SAME DAY service takes more than 10 days. I contacted my cell company and Mint Bills of this action. I then paid my cell bill again myself to stop any collections activity on my cell account. The next day the credit from Mint Bills went into my Cell account. REALLY?!.. I guess the dispute raised the sense of urgency. Now I paid my bill twice! Now Mint Bills has suspended my Mint Bills account and started collections activity for the total of my cell bill. Im guessing my card issuer did a charge back so the dispute should be between Mint Bills and the card issuer. I was never given credit or received any refund for the initial amount Mint Bills took from my account and eventually credited to my cell account. I cant even access the app to delete my banking information from their servers. Its like they have all my banking information held hostage. I now have to go into every account I had on the app and change every password. So very DISAPPOINTING for an Intuit product! SHAME! If your considering this service just know... Youve been warned!

Very bad app

Has a lot of bugs and it does not work

From 4 stars to 1

4-23-2016 update: Terrible, this app has been run into the ground by Intuit. It doesnt notify you if it cant login to your bill provider, thus it FALSLY thinks the balance is $0 even though it hasnt been able to check the actual balance for 20 days! This is an EGREGIOUS violation of trust and I must now go back to my gmail method of managing bills. Ive nearly (luckily) missed bills because of my misplaced trust in this app. 2014: This is an amazing product, it has not failed me yet after using it for over a year when it was still Check. The only thing i wish it had was a way to hide or disable old accounts without deleting them like mint. I still want that history but dont want the clutter.
